Toy Chest

I built this toy chest for my daughter and I wanted it to match the bassinet I built in 2018. The chest is made of solid white oak and walnut. The dimensions are about 24” long by 15” deep by 17” tall. I used dowels for all of the joinery as well as no-mortise hinges to attach the lid; I also used a slow-close lid stay on the lid. I used the CNC router to route the handholds as well as the templates used to create the finger recess and stretcher details. The finish is walnut oil.
